A Tiny First of March Update

More Tomorrow, PageVerse, and Manga-chan Is Not Amused...

More Tomorrow

Interim (57/365)

Welcome to the Interim,
a chrysalis
between what we were
and what we are destined
to become.

Contour (58/365)

Given two options,
the majority chose
a hellish chaos
of sloppy incompetence
with cruel intent
that daily reveals
new shapes of horror
beyond all expectation.

Outlier (59/365)

We live
in the outlier timeline.
Events here
play out
as never intended,
but no hand
intervenes
because we are
so amusing.

More Tomorrow Update

As of today, through two solid months of 2025, I haven't missed a day! But you probably noticed that I stopped sending poems out as daily newsletters a while ago because I didn't want anyone to feel that I was spamming them with poetry, although there are worse things to be spammed with.

You can catch up and still get your daily dose going forward by following me at @mythoversal on BlueSky. BlueSky is my current social media hub, as I've mostly removed myself from Twitter and Facebook.

The "More Tomorrow" routine is helping to keep me sane. Each morning I wake up, check the daily #vss365 prompt, and usually get thrown for a loop until I can regroup and write a bit of topical free verse. When inspiration hits especially hard, the lines might rhyme, but don't expect iambic pentameter.

For the sake of pairing the words with fun visuals, I've been feeding each entire poem into a personalized image-generative AI and doing whatever edits and Photoshopping might make them more presentable. I continue to share the ethical qualms that many people have about AI generative content, especially for models that are opaque about the sourcing of their training sets. The debates are ongoing, but I figure that for now, for small-scale personal use, and with full disclosure and attribution, they are probably fine.

Bookish News

It's been a while since I published a book. I've started a few, but momentum is hard to sustain and I'm nowhere near as prolific as I'd like to be. My current work in progress crossed the 30,000-word threshold yesterday and is steaming forward toward its eventual finish line. As the journey progresses, there will be more news.

Working Title: Manga-chan Is Not Amused

Elevator Pitch: A paranormal investigator, a spray paint prophet, an invisible cop, a manga artist, and a flock of cybernetic sheep probe the secrets of a sleeping android, with homages to the cyberpunk, isekai, and magical girl anime genres.
